CNY
alright. shall use this photo to sum up my CNY house visiting. the one on the wheelchair is my great grandparent. very old already. cannot recognize us already. the rest of the people are her great grandchildren? hahaha. not a lot la. just a few. so this happened on the first day of CNY. 大年初一. of course we went to other places la. but never take photo. hehe.
so this past two days is quite tiring. everyday wake up earlyearly. then come home and sleep latelate. luckily CNY only got a few days. or else i will die man. but i know, most of us kids only have ONE motive to go for house visits. ANGBAOS!!! (haven counted my 'harvest' yet. hehe.)
and so, within this two days, i had gathering with my cousins from both sides and talked a lot. O' levels is one of the hottest topic man. " how many points HAR? " most DREADED question. haha. i guess at a certain age, there's always a question for you. like " got boyfriend? " , " got girlfriend? " , " hows studies? " , " going army already? " . all the usuals la.
with all the late nights and early mornings. i must say, i somehow still enjoys CNY. maybe it's because of the good food? maybe it's because of the angbaos? or maybe it's the gathering we have that i enjoy. no matter what, CNY is definitely a time i look forward to. maybe even more than my birthday. haha =)

fun-filled vivo trip
and so we celebrated krystal's 19th birthday at vivocity. we ate at this restaurant called Brotzeit. its suppose to be a german restaurant. hmm. can say its fine dining la. atmosphere is quite good. the food is not bad too. just that the portion is really PATHETIC. but then again, i think we are paying more for the atmosphere than the food la. haha.
went to haagen-dazs to have some fondue after dinner! (not before i was forced to have a balloon tied to my bag -.-") and so we had some fondue and chit-chat. wah. i think yiye's drunk tonight. talk talk talk talk talk. non-stop. and the later it got, the more hysterical she got. started talking nonsense. hahaha. but its fun la. has been quite some time since we got together and just chill.
exams are round the corner! soooo fasssttt. i just hope that i would be able to finish all my core modules this semester so that i could take my Majoy Project and Student Internship Programme next semester man. have to pray hard. i cant wait for next semester man. everything would start afresh and nothing i do this semester would matter. just have to give a final push to complete this semester. and everything would be fine =)
ohh ya! i got my project topic already. it is to Create A Bio-Degradable Scaffold. nono. not the scaffold used for constructions. its more about bio-technology. haha. go figure out.

the NEED to exercise
after today's soccer session. i really i have deproved lot. everything i've gotten has gone down the drain. it has been a few months since i kicked a soccer ball. and my stamina is no longer there already. urgh!! i need to get them back. stamina first. must be quick!!

updatess.
alright. yesterday marked my one month off the blog. too lazy to blog la. but actually alot happened during this one month.
lets just pick one to talk about. theres this competition for the bb primers that is held once a year in one of the polys that has bb as a CCA. theres competition for soccer, captains ball and basketball. but knowing 5th coy, we only joined soccer. last year we played and we lost. it was very emotional as some of us cried la. sad to see that scene sia. so this year we came back with a vengeance. HAHA. this time round we came back with more people also and nevertheless more quality. with some hiccups on the way, we came back as champions. it was really tiring la. like started at 8am and ended at 5pm? thats like office hour la! but nevertheless we enjoyed it la. every single match. but theres something that really disturbed me at the end of everything. prize was given and everything was settled. this pastor came out and lead us in vesper. he looked in our direction and saw one of our guys talking. this is what he said.
" can you guys please stop talking? please dont act like you're primary school kids. "
!!!! i really cant stand it man. being somebody with authority. being somebody who spread the word of God. cant he just say it POLITELY?!?! like just "please stop talking"?!?! must he like add the "DONT ACT LIKE YOU"RE PRIMARY SCHOOL KIDS"?!?! i think hes just sore that his team lost to us. hes just trying to embarass us in front of his people. so that would help save some face issit? i cant say that im a holy person. but at the very least, i dont shame people. this is the way of a LOSER. this pastor is from FCBC. im just ranting. dont mind.

this past weeks has been a rollercoaster ride for me. unexpected things happened. things that i've never thought of before. maybe its God's will? i dont know. i think im quite an impatient person. i want things done quick. maybe its my upbringing. my mum always expect things to be done quick or else i wld have a battle scar ( cane scar ). some things in life we have to do it fast. but some stuff we couldnt rush it. we just have to take it slow. maybe God is giving me a chance to learn this good habit of being patient. im still far from being able to say that im a good christian. but im trying, very hard. i just hope that everything i do now would pay off someday, somewhere, on something.
i more of a pessimist than a optimist. on the surface, i take things lightly. inside me, nobody knows. haha. i dont like to frown or look sad in front of people. joking is a good way of shielding this side of me. sometimes i really think that i keep too much things to myself already. but i just cant bring myself to trust anyone. maybe again, its my upbringing. growing up with a single parent is not easy. i've had my fair share of tears and loneliness. imagine being without my mother for 2 years. although im still young at that time, it did some damage nevertheless.
i read in someone's blog that we should not get our hopes too high on things so that we wouldnt fall so hard. well, that doesnt apply for studies la. i've been using this 'formula' on my life for quite some time already. its easier to get over things this way la. you wouldnt brood over it for too long. but its not good in a way that, you will lose hope quickly once you sense things are not right. good in one way, bad in another. you judge it.

sports
the result of playing soccer under the blazing hot sun without my shirt on? sunburnt. and to top it up, i repeated the act today, playing field soccer and once again without my shirt on. wonderful. now i must start counting how long this skin of mine will take to heal. hmmmmmmm..
okay. so here i am, blogging. awaiting the time to switch on my plasma teevee and be a potato couch for 4.5hours? madness rite. but thats the life of a soccer fan la. and also, quite a good way to slack at home too. watching 20 guys chase after a ball with 2 retarded freaks wearing gigantic gloves just so that they could stop the ball, is kinda fun in a way. i mean, im not gay myself. its just the passion these guys show influence me. its different from watching basketball eh. more often or not, basketball matches are won by many individual moments. considering that the court isnt REALLY that big. and the scoreline can go double digit, whats the point man?
anyway, team sports(excluding basketball) are really nice to watch and play. all the politics, the conflicts, the individual talents, the diving, the robotic dancing(HAHA!! CROUCHHHHH!). rugby is a nice sport to watch too. as for playing it, i think i would give it a miss. just looking at the size of the players. WOAH!
talking about sports. dont you all think Americans are sooooooo wonderful? they create their own leagues and still play as if that is the international thing. well, sure there is yao ming playing, but it just give the Americans an extra reason to be racist isnt it. they even create their own sports and name it football. crap. and how do one play it? just take a ball and run. no skill. just speed. lousy. comparing it with building sandcastles? i think sandcastles win them hands down.
