so i had my maths quiz 2 today. haha. to think that i was so worried. it came out well. i did it. i think im on my way to my very first full-marks for quiz. HAHA. anw. saw fiona xie today. woohoo! she came to TP for the Hey! Gorgeous thingy. i think shes auite hot sia. nice figure. WAHAHAHA.

Evan Almighty

just finished watching Evan Almighty. there are values in the movie man. about spending time with family and also being kind. its not really that funny la. okay only. compared to Bruce Almighty.

the other day, yiye was like saying, " why are they making movies on christianity? " its kinda odd to me too. but after i watched, i realise theres a moral behind the story. as i said before, this story talks about spending time with family and being kind. its about a new congressman called, Evan Baxter, called by God (played by Morgan Freeman; wonder why they always use him as God) to be the modern day Noah and build an ark. so he ignores God and God screw up his life until he decided to build the ark.

basically, God is using this excuse to make him spend more time with his family and also exercise abit of kindness everyday. and of course, using this as an excuse to get rid of certain bad guy (played by Mr Flintstone).

watching this movie has made me understand God's way a little bit more. there are some stuff said by Morgan Freeman; who plays God, that really is worth thinking about.

On the story about Noah's Ark,

" Many people miss the point of the story. They think its about God's wrath and anger. It never was about God being angry. Its actually a love story about believing in each other. Animals show up in pairs, they stood by each other. Side by side. Just like Noah and his family. Everybody entered the ark side by side. "

On God's way of answering prayers,

" If someone prays for patience, you think God will give them patience? Or do you think God will give them the opportunity to be patient?
If someone prays for courage, you think God will give them courage? Or do you think God will give them the opportunity to be courageous?
If someone prays for their family to be close, you think God helps him with warm fuzzy feeling? Or give them opportunity to love each other? "


new insight on how God helps people to overcome things. he provides in a different way. from the appearance, this movie may seem to be another commercialised Bible story. read deeper into it, and it may be God's answer to how he guides his children. one new acronym i learned fro this movie.

after reading this article, i can't help but ask myself, can i ever write something like that? this article made me laughed alright. it's funny in a way that it's close to singaporean's everyday life. 30-year-olds, act cute women, calling themselves 'Little Princesses'? don't tell me you have NEVER come across one. the way the writer express how frustrated he is with our society is so hilarious. you all should read the full article, then would you be able to understand regarding the 'favourte' words part. haha.

alright. so days have been kinda boring these days. ever since school started, sleep is never enough. played soccer in church on sunday, realised my stamina is no where to be found. i really need to get my lungs to work again. they arent responding to me. i was panting like a dog during the soccer session. i was half-dead. i really need some fitness regime or smth.

so about today, watched Harry Potter with yiye, zhiwei and shaoyu today. it was nice, but alot of things was cut from the movie. well, im fine with it, i read the book anyway. but for people that doesn't follow the story, they would be lost. the movie proceeded very fast. too fst for anyone to register what happened before. 2hrs is never enough for a Harry Potter film. why can Titanic survive 3hrs and not Harry Potter? don't get it. even Pearl Harbour took 3hrs. come on. do you really need 3hrs to bomb a stupid naval base?

to me, the most exciting part of the movie is the part where dumbledore fought voldemort. nice animations and all. funniest moments? haha. every part when dolores umbridge is not in control. she only proves that the quote 'never judge a book by it's cover' is right. she may look harmless to you, but when she passes someone a pen, you're a dead man. not bad a movie afterall. if you are intending to watch the next film, better watch this one, or else you would be so lost, GPS wouldn't work for you. NOT FUNNY.

went to play for zhiwei's soccer team today. actually just to go help out la. like thought they not enough people so, in case anyone injured, i can just substitute in and play any position. versatile eh. HAHA. fake. in the end, played the entire match, not really sure whether they got enough people in the end or not. was too tired. didnt manage to get the numbers right. haha. tiring day man.

first it was the ulu ulu soccer pitch that timothy commented, " wah! so ulu! if kena heart attack ar! sure die because ambulance cannot find the place. " lol. its true man. its very deep inside some private housing or something like that. but the pitch looks good la. just the that the "groundsman" dont allow us to play eh. saying that we will INJURE ourselves. load of crap. but then again, he is just doing his job la. cant blame him also.

in the end we settled at gan eng seng secondary soccer field, dont know whether its legal or not. just play la! the match ended with the scoreline at 3-2. we won. but tough match la. difficult pitch. blazing sun. ineffective me (?) haha.

thought the match end then my day also end already. BUT! i still have to go for the LWS performing group briefing. in the end decided not to join, too tough for me. i dont sing well. i dont.. not singing well is the main reason la. so no need for the rest. haha.

alright. gotta wake up early tomorrow! song presentation! hope everything goes well man. God bless us!

studying in singapore is really not easy. the amount of stress and the fast-paced system leaves students breathless. the new semester just started, but i'm already feeling the burden already. exam date drawing nearer and nearer scares me. hais.

anyway, i know all my results already. failing maths and microcontroller technology borderly, passing static and strength of materials and programming and automation. didn't expect to fail maths though. all the careless mistakes. tsk tsk.

ohhya. one more thing to end off this post.

alright. so after that went to meet up with Ian and Yiye. dinner with this 2, Mr Yam and Amrish. thereafter, went to Icekimo. FINALLY, prata house as the pit stop. just when you're wondering when the food craze will stop huh. HAHA.

i always enjoy the times i hang out with church people. especially Ian, Yiye and Krystal. im not saying that hanging out with the rest is not fun la. dont know how to explain leh. its just like that. going out with the 3 always contains laughter and crappiness. doing weird stuff like..

SETTLER"S CAFE!!!

okay. firstly, its a fun place to go. secondly, got pretty girl!!! HAHA.

alright. so we ( yiye, sk, kelvin and me! ) went to settler's cafe to play games. board games and card games to be exact. wahh. i tell you. its CRAZY! playing with yiye, the loudest laughing person i EVER known. we; a table of four, is laughing even louder then a table of, 10? can you imagine!? yiye is the queen man. the QUEEN.

ALRIGHT. quite some time didnt blog alr huh. haha. okok. so update on life. now holiday. nothing much. just love the days when i can sleep late and wake up late. haha. ohhya. one important thing.

for your information, THERE'S A FREAKING BIG STICKER ON THE TRAIN DOOR THAT STATES 'GIVE WAY TO ALIGHTING PASSENGERS' !!

they just keep on pushing and pushing, ignoring the people inside. freaks!

and then theres the parents who sits in the train and read their newspaper ignoring the fact that their precious children is making a nuisance and trying to act like monkeys. running around and hanging around. think what, your house ar! bloody hell! SINGAPOREANS really need to be taught a lesson man.

im not trying to say im perfect or anything. but at the very least, i don't have a child and i ALWAYS wait till everyone alights before i board the train. i stick to the rules.

read a report on papers today. very interesting report as it talks about the definition of TRUTH.

ACCURACY vs TRUTH

here are some definitions the writer got from his friends..

basically, this report pits accuracy against truth. its trying to argue whether truth needs accuracy to be the truth. whether it is a must to be accurate in truth. its kinda mind-boggling when i started reading. but then after awhile, it makes sense. i tink to me, truth is very subjective. it doesnt really need to be very accurate. just like the scientists who predict the global warming effect. they just give an estimate, nobody in the world can give a fixed date that the earth will die out rite. nothing is accurate in the world. even the weather guy makes mistakes.

im not trying to sound smart or anything. just find that this article is interesting..

woohoo!! watched spiderman 3 today with the guys. haha. no need to name lah. you want the names then go yiye's blog. alright. alright. so it isnt that O'fantastic. probably its becuz of the 'no elaboration' policy Sam Raimi set when he started. something like.. " MORE villians, LESS story " haha.

well. im not saying that the villians are nt nice. they are actually very cool. but its just the elaboration part. like towards the end of the show. suddenly 2 villians decided to team up and kill spidee. then the goblin come and help spidee(?) its like everything give to you at the very last moment and you just cant absorb it. theres just too little time and too much things to say. cant Sam Raimi just make a 3hours movie like Pirates and make it a nice one?

anyway. the one thing that made me love spiderman movies alot is not becuz of spidee actually. its becuz of aunty may and uncle ben. they just seems so out-of-this-world loving. they are simply just so perfect and caring. always giving good advices. most shows have these type of elderly people. but they are different. they are those type that has 'Old-People-Who-Never-Dies' written on their character description thingy. but uncle ben and aunty may seems to have 'Saints-That-Shouldn't-Die' written on theirs. they are just so concern and always pop up at the right moment. they are just like clark kent's parents in Superman. ever-loving. ever-caring. hope that in the future. when i grow old. me and my wife can be like them too =)

today is sunday. so its church as usual! haha. alright. for me. sunday is always the same. but this sunday is different.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZHIWEI!!!

so that is why today is special.. haha..

okok. so had church. after which is soccer!! woah. had fun man. theres no team one. just play. and nobody bothers to take the score down. everyone just play and score and play and score. i cant explain how fun it is. one bad thing. the sun is blazing man. VERY hot. its crazy lah. i nearly died playing man. haiyo.

overall. im quite happy abt my performance for soccer today. at least i did some good moves lah. not much though. haha. and i managed to score a goal! woohoo! although its quite a fluke lah. like got confusion then i just volley into goal. haha. to me. im very happy alr. this is my very first goal playing against them man. haha. happy. happy. happy.

woohoo!!! first day in school after a long time. haha. quite cool eh. started on my new modules and, yes, got into my new class. hmm. i must say. its not bad. at least im nt in a class with a bunch of morons that shouts everytime the tutor makes a mistakes. haha. and the guy that sits beside me is a MANU FAN!! haha. wad a coincidence.

anw. my first lecture tomorrow is LAW. haha. cant wait. duno wad will happen oso. will there be a textbook? issit it cool if theres a textbook. hee. i regretted last sem fer nt buying the psychology textbook. haha. if theres a LAW text i will surely buy man. haha.

thats all fer today. haha. tired..

WOAH. look at it! it has been LONG since i blogged. lol. no time lah. has been working fer the pass 5 days and before that got concert and all sorts of things. busy. busy. busy. haha. holidays are always like that. busier then normal school days.

school starts tomorrow. depressing senario. cuz frm tomorrow onwards. i wld be separated frm my classmates. hais. due to me needing to repeat one module. sian. like going into a new class like that. everyone i duno. it all boils down to adaptibility. haha. hope theres some great ppl in the class. or else im dead fer sure.

OHH OHH. i got LAW as my elective module. haha. last sem i wanted psychology and i got it. this sem i wanted law and, amazingly, i got it too! haha. dont know why. maybe these are modules that nobody wants? stereotyped as boring? dont know leh. but im interested in it. thats wads impt. haha. cant wait man.

for the coming semester. i hope that a change in studying environment can help me man. my target fer this sem is B for all modules. quite a tall order since i've been getting Ds. but nevertheless, i have to try. its my FUTURE. haha. just pray that god will help me thru this semester and get good grades. =)

i always thought that painting IS fun. well, quite fun lah. but its more tiring then fun. haha. all the chasing of buses. buying of paint. till the starting to paint parts are all fun. but the tireness sets in once we started on actual painting and not fooling around. haha.

in the past i always feel weird when im with my church friends. always feel that i cant fit in. although they are like all my schoolmates(?) just felt that way..

until recently..

i found out why. why i have this feeling. its because i didnt want to fit in. thats the reason. i always feel neglected deep within. self-pity? im not really sure. but im dead sure my upbringing has a problem. i dont really have a perfect family. i know my mum is trying. but 1 never can be 2. i guess it cant be helped. maybe its a test that God gave me so that i would be stronger? im not sure.

woah. freaking busy lately. supp papers. concert. camp. music lessons. painting of room(?) haha. everything has to be done. just dont know how. like my everyday is packed to the brim? anything more and it will overflow. i might just burst.

i feel that im enjoying church more and more. weird that i hated going to church every sunday. haha. maybe its the fellowship? in my world. i take that my friends are presents that God decided to give me so that i wont break under stress? like candies to kids. haha.

really regretted not learning piano properly. now, looking at everyone with an instrument in hand, i yearn to learn one. so i decided. guitar! haha. hope i would be able to learn to play as soon as possible. =) and maybe. just maybe. i will put my hands on the ivory sticks and start to learn again. if i got the money that is. haha.

has been quite some time since i met out with my church frens alr. and i finally did last night! went to ktv with zhiwei, krys and yiye. woah. sang fer so long. so many songs played. i swear i came out with a hoarse voice man. haha. thereafter its playing pool time with matthew and zhiwei. they are so pro. i only manage to win one round. and thats oso because of zhiwei missing almost every ball. haha. since it was late ( 3am), i went to stay over at his hse. and we slept like 5am? cuz we watched borat! laughed like mad man. but cant get the sound out cuz its late. haha.

slept and woke up at 1pm. its still okay considering that i slept till 4pm the previous day. LOL. im blabbering nonsense now. i dont know what im typing oso. haha. im tired. sleep.
